Utilizing local, fresh picked produce that is naturally grown is the healthiest way to get the most nutrition out of our food supply. The sooner it gets to your mouth from the garden, the more nutrients have been saved for your body’s nourishment. Did you know that once a fruit or vegetable is picked, immediately those life nurturing nutrients start dissipating into thin air?
At Sunspring Ranch, we strive to offer the highest quality, naturally grown fresh produce without using harsh chemicals, pesticides or preservatives. We are hoping to get through all the stacks of red tape to be able to label our wonderful, health conscious produce as “organic”. Until then, we are calling our carefully raised fresh veggies “natural” since we are following what we feel is comparable, if not higher standards than government labeled “organic”.
Along with our traditional seasonal veggies, we are experimenting with sprouts, micro greens, petite greens and baby veggies in addition to season extending ideas. Our goals include year round availability of superior nutrition and increasing public awareness about better health-conscious food choices.
As a small family business, our produce is limited in
quantity and hours available. We hope to have our store front up and running
sometime in the summer of 2010 but for the time being, please make an
