If you love horses, gymnastics, performing, and making new friends, then
this is the sport for you! Horse Vaulting is the worldwide competitive
sport combining gymnastics, dance, and stunting on the back of a moving
horse! Horse Vaulting teaches strength, agility, balance, horsemanship,
performance skills, and confidence.
The Vaulter
Our Vaulters range from ages 5 to 50+. The vaulters participate in local
demonstrations, competitions, and even national events. They vault at
walk, trot, and canter on the teams horses and do not need to own their
own.
The
Horses
Miss Fire Opal - Opal is owned by Julie
Keville and is a beautiful 6 yr. old Haflinger mare. She is our shortest
horse, but has plenty of personality. She loves the attention the vaulters
give her in her classes, especially if they have treats!
Gizzmoe - Gizzy is a 13 yr. old Holsteiner
gelding owned by Ashley Ondaro. He is our Canter horse and loves vaulting
so much he would canter all day for his vaulters.
Anastasia - Tasia is our youngest horse
at 5 yrs. old. She is owned by the Kaylor family and is a
Shire cross mare. She has the sweetest temperament that you can't help
but fall in love with her.
Stewart Little - Stew is definitely the
teddy bear of the group. He is a 10 year old Belgian gelding and is
owned by Melissa Dunlevy.
Currently Stew is taking our trot team to the national competition in
August! We love this big guy!
The Coach
Cambry started coaching last year, but has been involved
with the sport for the past 12 years. She started as a vaulter at the
age of eight and has been a part of several teams over the years. She
is a two time national champion and a two time reserve national champion.
Cambry stopped vaulting a couple years ago and enjoys passing the knowledge
and love for the sport to the vaulters she
coaches.
